Red Cross volunteers and staff work to deliver vital services – from providing relief and support to those in crisis, to helping you be prepared to respond in emergencies. Their areas of focus include: Disaster Relief, Lifesaving Blood, Training & Certification, International Services, and Military Families.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Red Cross of NY offers a range of programs which all include commitment of up to 1 year and require training. The following opportunities are available in New York City: Mass Care Team, Disaster Services: Disaster Action Team, Home Fire Campaign Team, and Community Engagement Volunteer.
